n the hills of Rwanda grows some of the best coffee in the World! When Eric Rukwaya gave Connect Rwanda’s founder Steve Hays a tour of the new roasting factory in Kigali last year the seed was planted.
“It seemed like a win-win situation,” said Steve. Eric handled all of the logistics in shipping the coffee to the U.S., and the Annapolis High IB program students sold the coffee here in Annapolis – all 1,000 bags! It was a great fundraiser. Freshly roasted, and shipped coffee directly from Rwanda to Annapolis.”
Connect Rwanda has imported 1,000 bags as part of a fundraiser. “It’s a win-win scenario”, said IB coordinator Marlene Ramey. We earn money to bring Rwandan teachers to Annapolis here this Spring, and customers get incredibly coffee!
The smell of the freshly roasted beans is amazing.
